Desperados Red Caipirinha
I bought this one purely out of curiosity, as I don't even know what half of the stuff written on the can means. I thought caipirinha was a fish.

From the website:
AN EXOTIC BEAT DROP
A fiery spin on the original Desperados, to turn the latino volume all the way up.
Expectations
I usually have an inkling of what I am going to get from a beer. This time I haven't a clue. It's got quite a strong alcohol percentage and it's been in the fridge, so I'm just hoping for something refreshing and relaxing.
Experience
It's not as red as I had expected, more like an orangy amber beer colour. There is very little foam on top, and the bubbles are quite large. It reminds me of the fizzy drinks I had as a kid.
The smell is sweet and fruity, which does tie in with what I was expecting. It actually smells like canned peaches or something like that.
The taste is sweet, but nowhere near as sweet as the smell. There is also a lot of bitterness with it. It's hard to describe the flavour, as it is slightly fruity but somehow still has an overall beer taste that comes through it.
The aftertaste is like some kind of undetermined fruit juice. Not unpleasant, just confusing.
I didn't know if I would like this one or not, and I'm still not sure after drinking it. I have never tried putting fruit cordial into beer, but I imagine it would taste something like this stuff does.
Verdict
3/5 : Odd. Not bad, just... Odd.
